Orlando Spring Break 2016

We are well into day 10 and time continues to fly by.  Disney World is an over priced "Gong Show" with 60 minute wait lines for their cheesy rides in 90 degree heat.  That and the massage crowds can be very challenging for the most patient of souls and definitely.NOT FOR ME!  Although Leslie wont admit it, I am sure deep down inside she agrees but remains 100% committed to the grand kids in whatever they do.  YEH GRANDMA!!! I think everyone agrees this will be the last trip to Disney World/Disneyland.

The resort we are staying at offers everything you could ask for in amenities but the units are somewhat lacking in day to day supplies.  I think the grandchildren would have been more than content to spent the whole time at the resort and forgo the Disney experience.  As far as the management company we used to book the accommodation, STAY AWAY!   Once they received our credit card payment, they never responded to another email and service from Florida Premier Rentals was none existent.  I fully agree with the comments in the link below...

https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=florida%20premier%20rentals&lrd=0x88dd7f5076dec4d3:0x317cd6521e704cf5,1,,

Florida Premier told us that the unit was essentially new but upon arrival, it .was quite obvious by the carpet stains and the marks on the walls that it had been well used.  The most disturbing sign at first glance was the shower curtain and rod lying in the bath tub of the main bathroom downstairs.  Obviously, nobody inspected the premises before our arrival and it was left to us to "Jimmy Rig" the shower rod into place so it would not come crashing down our head while showering.  It took two calls and two nasty emails to get a response from the real property managers that had never heard for Florida Premier Rentals before.

Orlando is probably the biggest tourist trap we have ever encountered and service in restaurants and other venues is pretty poor and over priced.  A prime example would be our visit to Wildside Bar & Grill in Kissimmee where a 30 minute wait in line turned into 60 minutes and we waited another 60 minutes for our sub par food to arrive after ordering.

All that being said, our stay was very enjoyable with both kids and adults loving the luxury of our own pool & hot tub  plus the option of visiting the main pool, with water slides and many other activities for all ages.  The trick to visiting Orlando would be to find a nice resort or home through a rental agency and stay put, unless of course you love dealing with huge crowds, traffic jams and waiting hours in line!

The Happiest Place On Earth???  NOT!

All I saw was children crying, parents fighting and 1000's of hot, sweaty, miserable people standing in line at temperatures approaching 95 degrees to get on a cheesy, antiquated ride! I just don't get it! We paid $110 per adult ticket for a one day pass. The average wait for a ride was 40 minutes although we waited over an hour from a few. The food is mediocre at best and of course, like everything else, overpriced.
To add insult to injury, we went to a character theme brunch at Chef Mickey's, the ultimate rip off!!

I would never come here again and neither would the 10 other family members we were with.

I have always been a straight shooter and a go getter.  Many have said Leslie must be a saint to have put up with me for over 40 years.  We have been business partners since the day we got married and each played an intrigal roll in our business success.  There is nothing more important to us than our Family & Friends.  Our love of people and travel has allowed us to develop amazing friendships around the world.
