Our drive to Sarlat was very good with the exception of a slight hick up when we arrived at our B&B. The place looked great except Christine, our host, made a bit of a booboo and double booked us for the second night. That meant we were only confirmed for one night on one of the busiest holiday weekends at one of the most popular destinations in France. PROBLEM!! She felt terrible and immediately got on the phone in an attempt to find us accommodation for June 8. I immediately got on line and was able to book another place we were seriously considering and believe it or not, we were able to get it for the next 3 days. It looks amazing!! http://domainelemagnolia.vacau.com/index.php?lang=en . I hope the pictures do it justice. We will let you know tomorrow. Medieval Sarlat de Caneda is a lovely historic village but very commercialized unfortunately. The place was packed and I don't think their sewage system could handle the crowds as the strong smell of raw sewage permeated may areas we toured. All that being said, we were glad we came as the village was great and the outlying area is beautiful. Some magnificent Chateau's!
