Coff's Harbour

Our week at the Korora Bay Village Resort flew by.  We met some amazing people here, including a couple from Summerland, which we thought was pretty cool!  Haven't met too many North Americans thus far.  We kept ourselves pretty busy, our daily two hour ocean view hike, touring around the area and just some well deserved R & R around the pool.  The resort was nice except for a few unwanted pets in the room, everything was pretty good.  The internet was pretty weak but that seems to be pretty common in these parts.  We shared a quite a few laughs with our new Ozzie Friends and we are going to miss them!  Great meeting you guys!!  If you get a chance, I suggest you visit the Murray River and especially Mildura!!  This area, sadly, has the highest kangaroo suicide rate in the country! It appears they would sooner jump in front of a speeding vehicle that be sentenced to life in the Murray River Valley.  We must have seen at least 30 dead kangaroos along the roadside in this area.  We haven't seen any Roo Kill since!

Tomorrow we head toward Cararra for our second one week stint at the Radisson Resort.  We are hoping to do these one week stays a little more frequently for the rest of our 2 month stay.

Sounds like you had a great time in Coff's and met some awesome
people!! Hehehe........

We made it down to just out of Wagga Wagga and didn't come across too much rain thank goodness. There were heaps of patches with water over the road but well sign posted.

We did , however, have better luck finding a good motel than you. $105 and included pay tv, Internet, large flat screen tv and big bed and is also clean!!!! And more importantly next to a pub and bottle shop. Note the use of the term bottle shop as opposed to Liquor shop and not a wiener in site thank goodness.

Nice to meet you both and look forward to reading the rest of your travels.

Coffs is an amazing place and it was so nice to meet some great people too...

Hope you made it up to Carrara ok and have found some nice places on the Gold Coast to visit (gecko, wombat and possum free I hope).

Flick me an email if you think you may be coming back this way as we'd love to catch up with you again before you leave for home.

Enjoy your next 2 months and we hope your travels are safe!!

And remember don't 'finger' anyone, mention ANYthing about weiners or discuss what is sold in 'liquor' stores... :) Do make sure you 'shout' someone a beer and practise your g'day mates!

Marina, glad you guys made it through alright. It's just started to rain here in Lennox today :(

I have always been a straight shooter and a go getter.  Many have said Leslie must be a saint to have put up with me for over 40 years.  We have been business partners since the day we got married and each played an intrigal roll in our business success.  There is nothing more important to us than our Family & Friends.  Our love of people and travel has allowed us to develop amazing friendships around the world.
