In Our New Digs!

As of July 1, we will have lived in Kelowna for 23 years, and rented for almost 21.  Hard to believe coming from a contracter from Alberta.  We did build our dream home in 2003 with the intention of spending the rest of our lives there but thanks to a neighbour from hell, we, along with three adjacent neighbours were forced to sell or live a life of grief for who knows how long.  The house had everything we ever wanted in a home, a spectacular view of the city and lake, all the latest features you would expect from a Krahn built home and Leslie's amazing design and decorating skills made it the envy of every woman who walked through the front door.  We waited almost 14 years for the right property to come along only to give it all up in less than a year.

Now we are living in a rented 650 sq ft condo thanks to my buddy Larry.  The condo is brand new with all the upgrades, granite counters, stainless appliances, hardwood & tile floors.  The emenities were to include a large pool & hot tub (currently closed due to a geotechnical issue) , gym, 5000 sq ft club house, tennis courts, basketball court and basically everything you could ever want.  We were quite surprised to see an empty pool when we arrived to sign the lease but Larry assured us the fix was under way and should be resolved within days.  Not a bad way to spend the next 6 months as long as they get the pool working soon.  

I hope we wont be waiting another 14 years to find that perfect lot but we certainly do not see any eye catching realestate at this point, so who knows!
