I would definitely strike Montenegro from your bucket list as it is not worth the time or energy. The historic village was once again, predictable, littered with more of the same, hundreds of tacky vendors and over priced restaurants, constant stench of sewage and lots of people, not quite the volume as Dubrovnik.
The highlight of our day and probably one of the most beautiful places we have visited so far was the village of Cavtat, just a few minutes from our apartment. This is the spot where everybody in Europe wants to be seen. Very exclusive spot with some of the biggest yachts you have ever seen. They have a wonderful boardwalk that takes you around the peninsula with rock beaches scattered throughout the area. Once again, the water was crystal clear and it looks like paradise. To end the day, we treated ourselves to another gelato and watched the yachts roll in. A perfect end to another great day.
