I think I jumped the gun a bit on my comments about Portugal. We had a chance to tour the neighborhood over the past few days and this particular area is obviously a location for the rich and famous. The area we are in is called Quinta do Lago, in the Algarves of Portugal. I have never seen so many private estates in my life, most of which are just vacation homes on 2-10 acre estates, overlooking the ocean. Certainly the development appears to be much more controlled than Spain and the focus seems to be more on single family "mansions"! This would be a mecca for landscapers and private gardeners as it appears the property owners are not into yard work and their grounds are absolutely meticulous!!
