The start and end points are basic non starters. Not much to see in either city but the road in between was pretty spectacular and a good portion of the trip was traveling along the Transfagarasan Highway. I would rate this trip slightly more interesting and scenic than the Transalpinia route. There was definitely more traffic on the Transfagarasan, lots of cyclists throughout the grueling stretch of road.
Tomorrow we are on our way to Brasov with a stop at the legendary Bran Castle, more commonly known as Dracula's Castle. Rumour has it the castle is for sale and can be yours for a mere $80 mil. I will let you know tomorrow if we are prepared to write a cheque!
