We knew that Wrocław would be a tough act to follow and it was. Our experience began with a gorgeous, newly renovated apartment in the heart of the historic village and magnificent host that even stocked the fridge for us. Needless to say, our first negative impression of Torun began with our apartment which was very disappointing. I am sure you got the drift from my next posting. The weather certainly didn't help as it rained for most of the two days we were there. Our landlord appeared to be a very nice person and I was very reluctant to post a negative review on Airbnb or our website. For whatever reason, she gathered we were not too impressed with her country and emailed us to say she had a friend in Torun that would like to act as our tour guide and spend an evening taking us through the city. It was a very kind gesture but unfortunately the rain and cold put a damper on the plan and we decided to forgo the tour. We would like to thank Ela for her generous offer and apologize for being fair weather wimps! This random act of kindness was very indicative of the Polish people we met and Poland ended up being one of our favorite countries.
